Would you like paving as well?

Worth knowing before you decide. Paving can be costly, both the slabs themselves and the work to lay them, and it can add time to finishing your whole garden. Not sure? We'll quote with paving and without, so you can compare side by side. If paving is what you want, we're happy to include it.

Two kinds of work

Homes and sites, turfed properly

Most of our enquiries fall into one of two groups.

  • New-build homes. Gardens handed over as compacted soil with builders' leftovers mixed in, turned into a level, finished lawn.
  • Commercial and communal sites. Office courtyards, care home and school grounds, apartment gardens and public open space.

How it works

From bare ground to a usable lawn

Every job follows the same order of work.

  1. 01

    Clear

    Surface debris, stones and old turf removed.

  2. 02

    Prepare

    Compacted ground broken up, topsoil added where it's thin, then levelled and firmed.

  3. 03

    Turf

    Fresh turf laid with tight joins and trimmed edges, then watered in.

Most gardens are finished within a day. Bigger areas are scheduled to suit the site.

Questions we're often asked

Do you sell turf on its own?

No. Leeds Turfing is a turf laying service: every quote includes the turf and the laying.

Can you quote for several plots at once?

Yes. Send the plot numbers or a phase plan and we'll price per plot or per phase.

What about builders' rubble?

Surface debris is cleared as part of the job. Larger amounts of buried rubble are priced separately.
